Mostly luck, if I'm honest.

I sent a speculative email to Doncaster Council looking for a university work placement. Their comms team replied, two weeks turned into eight months, and I wrote a press release that made the Yorkshire Post. I'm still chasing that feeling.

A construction company and an agency later, I was handed sole responsibility for a global warehouse automation client. When the agency closed in 2019, I took the client with me. We're still working together today.

What it's like to work with me

I'm a one-person business, which means the person you brief is the person who writes it. No account manager, no handover, no junior copywriter learning your industry on your budget.

I work school hours, roughly nine until two, and I'll tell you honestly at the scoping stage whether your deadline is realistic. I'd rather turn down a project than deliver something rushed with my name on it.

Who I work with

My longest relationship is with Swisslog, part of the KUKA Group, where I've written white papers, thought leadership pieces, and internal communications, and managed paid media across the UK, Spain, and Italy. Ten years and counting.

I also work with smaller businesses closer to home, and I'm a member of Doncaster Chamber of Commerce. If you're a South Yorkshire business that needs someone who can handle technical subject matters, I'm only up the road.

Where I am

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire. I work with clients across the UK and EMEA, and I'm happy to come to you if you're local.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–14:00. These hours may shift slightly during school holidays.
